			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Students will create an artistic representation of a location about  Turkey they have visited, an experience they have had, or an idea or  theme they wish to convey to the audience.<br />
Goal: To demonstrate visual and art skills.<br />
Rules:<br />
Everyone is welcome.<br />
The artist is free to choose any appropriate medium.<br />
The size of paintings or drawings should be 35 x 50 cm.<br />
All art should be original, unpublished, and not previously used in any competition.<br />
All art work should be labeled on the back with the participants&#8217; first  and last name, address, phone number, and e-mail address.<br />
All art work should be mailed out to CTFC by March 5, 2010.<br />
It should be addressed to CTFC.<br />

Results will be announced in April 14, 2010.<br />
Students&#8217; artwork will be displayed to audiences on April 4, 2010.  Some  artworks may be kept by the Turkish Olympiad to be exhibited in other  venues.<br />

Artwork is appropriate for the subject&#8217;s theme.<br />
Visual harmony and symmetry<br />
Originality<br />
Artistic and aesthetic value.</p>

There are 50 questions in the Turkish Language Test; it consists of  grammer, listening, reading and vocabulary sections.   The test will be  prepared by the Olympiad Organization Committee.</p>

Students from all over the state of Canada  will compete in categories ranging from Turkish Language Test, singing contests, poetry contests and art contest.<br />

Turkish language is spoken by over 250 million people in the world. Today Turkish is taught in 115 countries. Moreover, Turkish is one of the critical-need languages under the National Security Language Initiative that highlights Turkish Language as “actively sought by universities, government agencies and the business sector for their skills, experience, and knowledge!” (www.nsliforyouth.org) Canadian Turkish Friendship Community is teaching Turkish classes in Toronto for different age groups. In order to promote Turkish language learning and cultural diversity, CTFC has been decided organizing Canada wide Turkish Language Olympiads .
